Well, Term 5 has started and that means Section E or the "Rockies" have ceased to exist. All the classes now have different seating arrangements. I miss the familiarity of the last row & people like ID, RRS, AK, RB - stalwarts who have given me company in powernaps & lot of arbit, useless conversation through numbing 8.15 am classes.
I miss the familiarity of our CP lords...who had a point to make no matter or what. I miss the warmth of camarederie, of friends found in an unexpected place. In a space of 6 months over lectures, assignments, parties and drinking sessions, I have forged, hopefully, lifelong bonds with some great people I didn't know even existed 6 months back.
On a different note, the electives have given me an oppurtunity to work some other very close friends on different assignments. So I am working with SD & SH on business valuation & SM & YM on a host of different stuff.
Ok, I also work with SD for a particular subject, which resulted in a few people from her section saying "6 months she was in her section & now only 2 weeks after the section has been disbanded you have moved in". Well, to be fair, she was the one who had sent the mail looking for a study group. Me being a person who have never sent a mass mail for any reason, just jumped at the oppurtunity of having a readymade group. Of course, it also helped that SD is quite a rather pretty girl.
Another major update is the Darden Innovation challenge. For now, all I'll say is that we have made the semis. Top 25 out of 270 teams globally....that IS a good feeling. This actually requires a very very long post where I'll hope to talk about the entire effort & experience of working on this project. We had our telecon with the project sponsors. The next level is the global finals where the top 10 teams out of the 25 will be present. With a conversion probability of 40%, we are hopeful. Keeping our fingers crossed.
The pictures on top are a few from the last day of Term 4.
